In Response To: Re: Construction: After 9 years, 8 months... (Big_kid)

: Glad to post the pics- I put them here first because it might be a
: slow moving board, but it's home. It's my 2nd stop when I get on
: the computer, and it's where I found the buggy to start with.

: I got the idea for furniture polish when I installed one of those
: convex mirrors for one of my customers(I service banking
: equipment). the instructions said not to use ammonia, it would
: cause the acrylic to fog. They recommended furniture polish.
: I've never tried it on a helmet, I've not owned one since I was
: 15 and had a dirt bike. It might work. Would rain-X work maybe?
: I'd think that whatever you tried would have no not give off any
: fumes or smell.

Yea, no fumes would be good. I just sent of of the visors back to Bell for their thoughts. I added one of their anti-fog inserts and it still fogged but that's a seperate issue. It's forced air helmet that uses a blower and I honestly think the helmet just isn't designed to flow air well. I'll have to think about the wax for my goggles, I wonder if it would cause the dust to stick more or less??

This is still my first stop every day on the net. It was probably the first off road buggy forum and I was here before the forums were really even active. I'll keep coming and do what I can to keep it limping along. It's "home".
