Progress has been slow on my new buggy engine, but I've put together a lot of information on how to install a Turbocharger and Fuel Injection.

Maximum Boost Designing, Testing, and Installing Turbocharger Systems
Maximum Boost Designing, Testing, and Installing Turbocharger Systems - This is the only turbo book that has been recently updated. Because it is relatively new it is also geared more toward fuel injection. It is also not very technical and seems to be aimed more toward the guy who owns a turbo car and wants to explain how they work to the guy at the office water-cooler. I would consider it a good first book. There are more technical details in the book: Turbochargers by Hugh MacInnes. Both are worth having if you're going turbo.

Turbochargers
Turbochargers - This is an older book and some of the turbo information is outdated. However because it is older it has more carburetor related information in it. It will also give you a better understanding of Turbo maps and is more technical in nature than "Maximum Boost."

DIY - Alcohol Injection Recipe - The system that I have came up with utilizes some used parts that I had laying around and a few new ones too. I don't guarantee as good results as I have seen, but on the other hand some of you might experience better. You may have to do some looking around junk yards, but when a guy is on a budget you do what you can do-:) Let me apologize for the lack of part numbers and such. I didn't plan on writing a recipe for this. I hope that some of you will benefit from it, although it may require a little investigative work. Here's the basic run down...

AutoSpeed - DIY Detonation Detection, Part 1 - Sensing when an engine is detonating has become more and more important in recent years. In older cars, the reduction in the lead content of fuel has meant that detonation is more likely to occur - especially when the comp ratio is wound up to give good performance. In factory turbo engines, dramatically increased boost means that detonation is very probable. Build an inexpensive detonation microphone with these instructions.

How Turbochargers Work - Turbochargers appear on all sorts of high-performance engines because they significantly improve the power-to-weight ratio of an engine. Learn how turbos work!
