Progress has been slow on my new buggy engine, but I've put together a lot of information on how to install a Turbocharger and Fuel Injection.

Topo USA - If you offroad in the mountains this is the software to get. It uploads and downloads to the popular GPSs and palm-PDAs and creates 3D views of your track through the hills. From there you can view a 3D map from all angles. You can order the entire US or just your region for a lesser price. Very Cool.

Garmin eTrex Legend GPS
Garmin eTrex Legend GPS - The Legend model is similar to the regular eTrex but includes 8 megs of memory and maps and a PC data cable. You can use your computer to download maps to the GPS and folow them in real time. It's waterproof of course because anything else would be a waste of money. The Vista is the next model up and includes an Altimeter, Compass, and 24 Megs of memory.

Garmin GPS 12 Personal Navigator
Garmin GPS 12 Personal Navigator - The Garmin model 12 is a nice little unit and the one I personally own. It's waterproof, relatively inexpensive and has all the nice features. The front buttons make it ideal to mount on the dash of a buggy and like all the others listed here, it will interface with a computer (you need to purchase the data cable). One important thing though: If you drive in heavy woods a lot you may temporarily loose track of the satellites. If you got the bucks and want better woods reception then go with the 12XL or 12 Map models. Those models have ports for external antennas.

DLGV32 DLG-O Viewing Software - dlgv32 is Windows 95/NT software for viewing a variety of digital cartographic data. It was originally developed in support of USGS digital line graph (DLG) production activities. This software allows preview and evaluation of USGS data. It contains no editing capabilities, and is not a substitute for commercial Geographic Information System (GIS) software.

Purple Open Projects (POP) - Plugs and Cables for Garmin GPSs - PFranc is the worlds first shareware hardware project. They have Garmin plugs so you can build your own cables or you can get complete cables. With it being a shareware hardware project, you make a pledge to pay, they send the parts, and you fulfill the pledge if and when you are satisfied.

Garmin eTrex GPS
Garmin eTrex GPS - This is the most affordable Garmin GPS. It is waterproof which is a necessity when going buggying and it will also interface with a computer if/when you buy the data cable. It uses only 2 batteries and has a long battery life. It is designed to be small and to fit in your hand so if you plan on a semi-permanent mount in your vehicle, then go for a GPS with a front button pad such as one of the model 12s. If you got the bucks the map versions are worth looking into also.

Garmin GPS 12 Map
Garmin GPS 12 Map - This is a nice one! All the good features of the 12 models and a Map display, external antenna option, an audible warnings! It also includes a data cable so that's a $40 savings right there. If you're considering the 12XL model because of it's external antenna option, take a serious look at this one. By the time you buy the data cable for the XL, the 12 Map is only another $20 or so more.

Garmin etrex Summit GPS
Garmin etrex Summit GPS - This GPS is one of the more expensive small ones due to it having an electronic compass and altimeter. In my opinion, unless you are a hiker these features aren't useful in a car. Save your money or get a mapping model.

Garmin GPS 12XL
Garmin GPS 12XL - The 12XL is about $70 more than the model 12. It has the same features as the Garmin 12 except it's battery life is a little longer, it has external antenna capabilities and audible warnings. The external antenna option is nice if you drive long trails in heavy woods. You will also need to buy the data cable which is another $30 or $40.
